Pinup Style Review with Vivien Of Holloway! 

Vivien of Holloway is a London based brand that focuses on the most classic looks of the 40s and 50s. This is a retro brand we can all appreciate. They turn out beautiful and glamorous dresses as well as a fantastic array of separates for the casual side in all of us. With period perfect fabrics and cuts that are only slightly modified to add some modern advantages, all of their designs will feed your retro reproduction addiction!

Vivien of Holloway has come a long way in their journey. From starting out above a motorcycle shop they have moved on to much bigger places thanks to their passion and hard work. They were able to open their first Vivien Of Holloway boutique in 2009 and since then have only grown to greater heights in their dreams and designs. There shop has quickly become every vintage lovers target destination when visiting London. Their shop is stocked with not only their full line but also limited edition styles and fabrics including some of Brand creator Vivien's own vintage pieces! 

Vivien of Holloway directs their attention to their amazing reproduction clothing line but doesn't forget about all of their other fun things a girl needs to finish her look off right! They offer a wide verity of hair flowers, jewelry, shoes, handbags and lots more!

I highly recommend taking some time and visiting their social pages and website to learn more about this amazing vintage inspired company and view their entire line!!! 


I recently had the chance to try out one of Vivien Of Holloways adorable and totally additive gypsy tops! The fit was perfection and I can see the outfit possibilities will be endless!!  

The Gypsy tops come in three different styles. The Classic, Cropped, and the Midi. After you choose the style you want comes the hard part.. WHAT FABRIC TO CHOOSE! I can honestly say this was my hardest choice. From simple and clean plain colors, to polka dots, to fun designs it's impossible not to want them all! I decided that I would pair mine mostly with my high waisted jeans, capris and shorts so I chose the Midi in the beautiful pink gingham. Love at first sight!  The color was so vibrant and beautiful and the material will be devine in the warm months ahead. 

I felt like a classic 1950's summer dream! It's so simple yet so put together and I felt adorably confident! My brain whirled with needing to get more colors and styles! I was in love with Vivien of Holloways gypsy top!! 

I paired my Gypsy top with my Freddies of Pinewood 1950's button jeans. The perfect combination of relaxed and girlie! Soft denim and cotton. I could live in this top all summer. 



You could easily pair all three styles differently for both day and night looks, as well as both casual and more dressed up. 

The Classic Gypsy Top Style! 
This style can be worn many ways. It has elastic in both the neck and a belted middle to show off your curves, as well as elastic capped sleeves. It can be worn either tucked in for a clean crisp look or left out and belted around the middle for some added frill and fun! 
I would pair this with come capris or a pencil skirt and add a wide black belt around my waist above the elastic hem. 


The Midi Style Gypsy Top (the one o chose) 


This is the same classic design of the "classic" cut gypsy only with an elastic cuff at the bottom instead of the fluttering hem. This one adds a little more sass to your look with its off the shoulder option and higher midriff baring length! 
I prefer this style paired with some high waisted jeans or shorts for the spring and summer! 


The Cropped Style Gypsy Top 

The shortest style of the three is the cropped gypsy top. This top is cropped right under the bust and really shows off your curves!! It shows a little more midriff than the midi but is perfect for your spring and summer looks! Classic and sexy!
I would pair this top with high waisted shorts and head out to a car show cool, cute and comfy! 

The Vivien of Holloway Gypsy tops can be paired with one of their many skirt choices for a dressed up look or with a pair of their classic peddle pushers, shorts, denim trousers or capris which they also offer a large assortment of colors and styles in! 
All of the gypsy tops are made in soft breathable cotton, fit true to size, and can be worn on or off the shoulders! 
I can honestly say the Vivien of Holloway Gypsy tops have added a whole new feel to my look and wardrobe. It feeds both my girlie side and the side that wants to be casual. I feel extra sexy and confident in my gypsy top but what I loved most was that I felt like myself. I love when I find pieces of clothing that give me that feeling!

As I sit here drinking another cup of coffee I am thinking about my newest episode being way to long. "No one wants to listen to you talk that long." I tell myself.
