September Bag Theme: "Glamazon"

Hello all of my beautiful beauty junkies! I'm back with my next installment of "A Year In Beauty" featuring my monthly Glam Bag goodies from Ipsy. Most people know Ipsy, and the amazing monthly beauty bag you can subscribe to and have sent to you once a month. I subscribed in the beginning of the year and have been blogging about each of my bags every month. If you don't know what Ipsy is, its a monthly beauty bag you can subscribe to that sends you five full size products or deluxe samples of products to try and learn about all for $10 bucks!! This is a great was to experiment and learn about new brands and products that you will either want to add to your makeup bag or helps save you the time and money by testing products you decide you don't like so much.
Either way, Glam Bag's are a fun way for all beauty junkies like me to discover and play with new products and brands.

This month had a very glam theme but my bag had more of a natural feel. I didn't have much to build a whole look from and had to use a lot of my own products to finish my look but the products I did get, I LOVED! Lets get started!

Remember to click the photos at any time to be taken to the Ipsy site and to the product sites to learn more!
I really loved the art deco type feel of this bag. It gave me a 20's vibe and I'm not sure why lol. I loved the gold detail. I was a little surprised by the products in side after seeing the theme was  "Glamazon" but the products were all really natural more than glam. The thing about Glam Bags is you never know what you are going to get and this bag introduced me to new things. Lets learn more!

My Glam Bag Brought Me....
Naked Cosmetics Naked Advanced Aloe Cream
Now I haven't used much from this brand but the last product I was sent from them in my Glam Bag really packed a punch! My hands get really dry and I loved the last cream I was sent. I was happy to get this. I expected a clean smell but this actually has no sent at all, which isn't bad but I like things that smell good. This is a get the job done cream and not a smell good cream. The base of this cream is Aloe instead of water like most creams. Not just any Aloe but ORGANIC Aloe. Yes ma'am! It is also rich in amino acids, vitamins, Shea butter and Manuka honey from New Zealand. This cream claims to provide cellular regeneration to promote baby soft new skin. After applying I can say my hands felt very soft. I'm looking forward to the benefits after I use up this whole tube.
*This Brand IS Cruelty Free, Possibly Vegan Friendly?

Dr G. Daily Safe BB in Fair
I have to be careful with BB creams because for some reason they always break me out and are always super oily. So far this BB cream has been the best. It didn't give me a greasy painted mask look and it wasn't streaky in color. It also matched my tone perfect which doesn't happen often. I wasn't broke out the next day which was also a plus. I love how this gave me a soft coverage and evened out my complexion. This BB blends, smooths and hydrates which are all important in face products. Whats also great is this is directed towards people who have skin prone to irritation like me and helps with rosacae as well. It's full of essential oils to help your skin over prolonged use. I love that. I don't see me using any other BB cream but this one at this point. I was really happy with the result. I wish I could find out if it was cruelty free. Need more research on Dr G.
*I could not find anything leading to this being a cruelty free or vegan friendly brand

Pixi by Petra Mattelustre Lipstick in Rose Naturelle
I've always been a fan visually of Pixi by Petra Cosmetics. It wasn't until Ipsy sent me a product by them that I actually got to try their quality and learn more about them. I love this brand and the products they put out. I was excited to add another one of their products to my collection this month thanks to Ipsy. This shade of lipstick looked more brick red in the tube then once applied. It went on so smooth and was very hydrating. It didn't dry out my lips in the slightest and had just enough shine to it. The color was a perfect nude shade. I was in love. It is a perfect shade for anyone. This little lipstick is packed full of pep-tides, hyaluronic acid, and vitamins C and E for smoothing the surface of your lips. It's a long lasting plumping lipstick that is a great addition to your lip collection.
*This is a cruelty free brand, Not Vegan friendly

it Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara in Super Black
I don't know about everything they make but I can say it Cosmetics makes a mean mascara. This is the second mascara Ipsy has sent me by it cosmetics in my Glam bag. I loved this one just like the last. This mascara allowed me to go from subtle lashes to mega lashes with just building a few more coats on. It gave me sultry eyes with thick attention getting lashes with out clumping. This mascara lives up to being super for sure. The wand was amaze-balls and the biotin and collagen infused formula really plumps up your lashes. Proprietary elastic stretch technology wraps each little lash up in magic and takes it sky high! This mascara is a super little product.

eva NYC Forget Me Knot Dry Conditioner
So here Ipsy is at it again showing me new things I never knew existed. I know about dry shampoo and hate it due to the powdery dust i am left with but dry conditioner? hmmmm... Well I just went for it and sprayed my hair and I could get use to this. Its light weight, leaves no sticky gross residue, and totally smoothed my crazy bed head. It has vitamin B5 and smells amazing. It smooths, detangles, and softens hair for a fresh style on the days you don't have time for much. Love dry conditioner now!
*No info on being cruelty free or Vegan friendly.
The September Glam Bag!!
Lastly we have our September Glam Bag. A pretty little gold flaked number with lovely ladies on the front. This bag had such a glam feel to it. More 20's to me than anything else. The gold zipper pull was a great touch and it was so elegant and modern but also retro. This bag will make a super cute night out bag!

This months bag was pretty simple. Staple products I always enjoy and use. It introduced me to a new BB cream I can get behind and that dry conditioner is a thing! I kind of feel like I have been getting the same products lately in my bags so I am going to update my profile and retake my test to get my bags to better fit me. That's whats so great about Ipsy, I can try and test and experiment and then update my info to readjust the products I am in to at the time. I struggled this month with finding out who was cruelty free and who was Vegan friendly. A couple I couldn't find so like me I suggest researching more into each brand before buying. I am not Vegan but I am replacing all of my personal makeup with cruelty free brands after learning most brands I use are not cruelty free. It's a slow and expensive task lol .

Check out my natural glam look I created with my Glam Bag goodies. I focused on glowing skin and big eyes for my look. I added some of my own products to finish my look. You can find out more in my YouTube tutorial!
In the description below my video you can learn about the additional products I used in my look.
